RGP Lens for High Myopia
Today, a patient was referred to me by one of our ophthalmologists, Dr Jonathan Paroli. This patient has a normal Cornea, however, has nearsightedness of around -8.50D Sphere on both eyes upon entering the clinic.
After cycloplegic examination and RGP fitting, we were able to finish with a base curve of 7.85 and 7.80 with an overall diameter of 9.5.
We ended with a Best Corrected Vision of 20/25 for both eyes. Eyeglass BCVA is 20/40 and Unaided VA is 20/200, which is why the 20/25 correction is a very big help.
